This seven Doctor Practice of over 6,000 patients centred in Culloden, an area immediately east of Inverness within 10 minutes of Inverness City Centre.
Culloden and the adjacent communities of Smithton, Cradlehall, Balloch and Westhill are satellite suburbs of Inverness. These areas have undergone a substantial change in recent years with a very large housing development programme. This adds a flavour of dynamism to the area with an increasing list size and in particular a flux of young families.
The building is purpose built and shared with another similar sized Practice. It has been extended to include 10 consulting rooms. There are two large symmetrical administration offices and a fully equipped library. The Practice is fully computerised using Vision clinical software. There is a terminal in every room and we have a Practice drug formulary.
There are seven Doctors: Dr Donald MacVicar, Dr Derick Macleod, Dr Alice Snow, Dr Claire Ennis, Dr Zena MacLeod and Dr Anni Jones & Dr Elizabeth Imray (Associate GPs). Within the seven Doctors, there are particular interests in research, child health, family planning, women’s health, sports medicine, community involvement in health and undergraduate education. Dr MacLeod is a nominated trainer.
